CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS
Chiropractic care offers a safe, natural approach to balancing the nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems of your body. Adjustments help you live in your body with more ease, comfort, and awareness. Because your body should always feel like home.
Together, you and your chiropractor will personalize treatments based on what your body needs on any given day or season of life. These may include instruments such as the Activator, a drop table, and other low force techniques.
Massage and other soft tissue work such as gua sha and cupping helps promote and prolong the positive effects of chiropractic adjustments. These therapies are regularly incorporated into your appointments at Couve Chiropractic to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Our licensed massage therapist has been in practice for over 20 years and can cater to your individual preferences when it comes to pressure and technique. She is great with everyone, from adults to athletes to kiddos to pregnant mamas! If you have recently been in a car accident, massage therapy can greatly speed up your recovery.
Our chiropractors regularly incorporate massage and other soft tissue work such as gua sha and cupping into your appointments to help promote and prolong the positive effects of chiropractic adjustments. Pediatric appointments almost always include some type of massage therapy to help with digestion or muscle imbalances. To read more on the benefits of infant massage, go here.
Additionally, we also offer abdominal massage for pelvic pain, fertility, and postpartum recovery. For more info on this specialized type of bodywork, please go here.
CRAINOSACRAL THERAPY
A gentle, intuitive therapy, crainosacral involves very light touch - often no more than 5g of pressure (the weight of a nickel). It blends what we know about the science and art of healing. After this type of care, you may feel a sense of peace, improved clarity, and a decrease in physical symptoms. Newborns may experience improved head positioning and better sleep quality.
Combined with chiropractic adjustments, crainosacral therapy offers your body a moment of pause, a gentle reset of your nervous system, and the awareness to tune into your body and its inherent healing capacity.
Nervous about trying something new? As a pediatric and pregnancy chiropractor and a mom herself, Dr. Nicole understands. She will introduce these safe and gentle treatments at a pace that you and your child are comfortable with.

INFANT MASSAGE
Did you know there are reflex points on your baby's feet that can help with colic, constipation, and reflux? Massage for babies can help relieve gas and constipation. It helps clear congestion, supports a healthy lymphatic system, and decreases stress by prompting oxytocin release. Infant massage over your baby's jaw, cheeks, and entire body can play a role in pain management when they are teething. Massage is a powerful sensory experience, and helps increase your baby's proprioception and body awareness.
When it comes to newborn sleep, most parents are willing to try just about anything. What could be more natural than giving your baby a massage as part of your nighttime routine? At your visit, Dr. Nicole will teach you the simple yet incredible power of infant massage and how you can incorporate a massage ritual into your life. Infant massage doesn't just benefit your baby; it also benefits you! Massage can help you bond with your baby, and has also been shown to have a positive impact on postpartum mood disorders.
